Yes and no. Adderall could be considered speed since
it is a mixture of four different forms of
amphetamine - Dextroamphetamine Saccharate, Dextroamphetamine
Sulfate, Amphetamine Aspartate, and Amphetamine
Sulfate. While it is an amphetamine, it does have
legitimate medical uses for ADD/ADHD and narcolepsy. Ritalin and Cylert
are similar to amphetamines in some ways. Phentermine is
also an amphetamine-relative used as a diet pill.
Strattera is not considered an amphetamine, however.
It acts to improve attention without some of the
side-effects of the other medications. Neurofeedback
or brain-wave (EEG) biofeedback is another alternative that
may be helpful and that avoids stimulant medications.
